Hi guys sorry about taking so long to post anything new, but a friend opened up a hobby shop near me, and things got in the way. Any way slight change of focus said friend who owns the shop has asked me to build him terrain, not to blow my own trumpet but I am quite good at that.

So yes I can build terrain, so he has set me the task of making a Malifaux/warmachine board. So I’ve been looking around for inspiration and found it in the form of this http://www.wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15839 go check it out some of the best looking table I have seen.
Any way my idea that i came up with A Bayou table, with a rickety shanty town built upon decking above the swamp, with wood walk ways and the like joining the buildings together. so far I have just been planing it.
The general idea is 12" x 12"placeable swamps with building built upon it, with walk ways and decking, some will have just walk ways, and also smaller placeable walkways so to link the board all together with walk ways.
I will be starting work on this in the next few days i will post plenty of pictures and possibly some plans. I will keep you posted.

Based on your profile location I'm assuming your friend's hobby shop is Essex based. You should give him a plug, myself and another regular poster on here are also in the Essex region and always looking for new retailers.
ReplyDeleteBTW, in answer to the question you posted on my blog the other day, at the moment I don'y have the original plans for the WD Coaching Inn, but I do know I haven't thrown them away. That issue just doesn't appear to be with my other old copies of WD. Although I do have many of the other features about modelling they wrote around that time. I'll drop you a note when I do find it.
All the best
Derek.
Cool thanks i will do, once things start to move on the design phase at the moment.
