Assembling the Miniatures – Tools of the trade

So things that you will need to do the hobby..

  1. A hobby knife – There are many different knifes, they all pretty much do the same thing, that’s cutting, cleaning mould lines.
  2. Clippers – Clippers are useful tool; they aren’t necessary as you can always use a knife, but they do make life a lot easer when getting a model from the plastic kits.
  3. Files – also know as needle files due to their small size, great at cleaning flash and mould lines on metal and plastic models.
  4. Glues – Super glue and polystyrene cement glue are all you will need. Many different types depending on where you live.
  5. Putty – Milliput or greenstuff is what I use, for different tasks,
  6. Sculpting tools – Great for using with Milliput or greenstuff,
  7. Pin vice – allows you to drill holes in to metal or plastic miniatures, helps them hold together when you sink a pin into it, also good for making holes in the gun barrel to add a little more realism.

As you see I have a video to go with this explaining more in depth of what things are.

Thanks for reading

James
